A lifelong artist and animal lover, Mitzi Rothman, has focused on portraits of pets since 1994. Having done quite a collection of cats and dogs in a variety of breeds, Mitzi captures in pastels, the detached elegance of the inscrutable feline, the exuberance and genial vitality of the steadfast canine.

Her sensitive renderings of these well-loved companions have been exhibited at prestigious art exhibitions, local art festivals, upscale pet shops, galleries and boutiques around Atlanta.

Although preferring to meet and photograph her subjects in person, she has worked very successfully with pet owners "long distance" using family photos as well as other information provided by the owner.
